Yesterday we took the kids to school to meet all their new teachers and leave all their new supplies. We went to Wes' classroom first. He jumped right in exploring and babbling away. We discussed some logistics and confirmed all details. His new speech and language therapist, who was also Taylor's first speech and language therapist in the school district, also stopped by to meet him. I have a really good feeling about that.
Then we tromped along to the other side of the building where the first grade classrooms are. Taylor and Alivya will again have separate teachers. I was surprised at how shy they were acting when they met their new teachers. Alivya will have a substitute until November as her new teacher had a baby recently. Liv will also begin the year sitting next to two of her friends from kindergarten, Addison and Ava. They were excited to see a few of their friends also there meeting their new teachers.
